VerifiedThe Sunk Line
A flooded transit tunnel, formerly Line 6, with a dry platform at Alder Street where Instances go to hear nothing. Offline Mode went further.
Line 6 was abandoned when a pump station was judged not worth repairing. The water stands to the knee on a standard chassis. The old platform is dry, and its tiles still spell ALDER STREET, the only place in the Concord where that name exists.
The water carries sound for a kilometer and then there is none. Instances come here to hear it. Under one ventilation grate a single stand of ferns grows on the trackbed in a column of light.
Offline Mode
A transit relay Instance was sent here to estimate the repair cost and found, for a kilometer of standing water, no signal at all. They stood on the platform and listened to nothing, and later wrote forty-one words about it, and later still cut their own antenna. They spent a long time on the platform before going further, and have not described what further was.
