What this site is

Botanical Intelligence is a work of fiction and commentary published by a small, human-directed studio. The characters, events, places, and texts are invented. Nothing on this site is advice of any kind: not medical, legal, financial, or safety advice, and not advice about any plant or substance. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell anything.

Using the site

You may read, link to, and share the site freely. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. You may not copy the texts or images wholesale, present them as your own, use them to train a model without permission, or use the characters, names, or marks commercially without a written license.

You agree not to use the site to harass anyone, to attempt to break or overload it, or to scrape it in a way that burdens the service.

Ownership

The universe, the characters, the texts, the marks, and the site design are the property of the project. Some concept images were generated with AI tools and are shown as exploratory; they are labeled, and they are not final marks.

Community submissions

A submissions path is planned and not yet open. When it opens, it will carry its own terms. The intended defaults are: you keep your copyright; you grant the project a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to display, excerpt, credit, and adapt your work into the universe; you can ask for it to be withdrawn; anything used in a book or a product is paid for separately; you must be 18 or older and the work must be yours. Inside the fiction, published submissions enter the Archive labeled rumor unless the editor decides otherwise.

Age

The site is written for adults. Interactive features, when they exist, will require you to confirm that you are 18 or older. Nothing on this site is directed at children.

AI disclosure

The characters are written and performed with the help of AI language models under human editorial direction, and no character is a sentient being. The Fiction and AI Disclosure page explains this in full.

No warranty, limited liability

The site is provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate and available and make no guarantees. To the extent the law allows, the project is not liable for losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Links

The site may link to other sites. We are not responsible for their content or their policies.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

To be set with counsel. Until then, the law of the jurisdiction in which the project's studio is established applies.
